Hello rod.. Looks a little "Off" to me... I'll explain my observations.... First... The "Swastika" probably shouldn't be there... I actually have a few of these rings... Second... The device or ??? Behind of the face of the ring look very odd IMO... Good luck...Gwar

It's on a site that claims it's original. But I do know That means NOTHING!
Rod, At one time it may have been... It just looks... "Messed With".. There were many or at least a few makers some were referred to as canteen rings and could be purchased quite cheaply... The one you display is marked .800 silver I believe that would have been a little more than the average wage at the time would allow and seeing as many I believe during the "West Wall" were locals ...RaD and the like.. Please don't quote me on that ...Only speculation at this point as I am tired... But please do some research and you will see.... Odal is the go to guy in this instance... TC... G

Both here shown rings are fakes.
The first one is a not so good cast copy of a period existing pattern.
Usually the period ones a struck from brass and plated. The swas doesn`t belong to this pattern, also the "OT" inside.
I think actual there is a good one in ebay, germany:
WK2 Patriotischer Ring Westwall Handarbeit Messing/versilbert | eBay
Odal, The rings I posted were for visual effect of no SWAZ only... But thank you very much for clearing up this matter...G
