Wir Fahren gegen Engelland ring opinions

hi everyone! just wondering what everyone thinks of this battle of britain ring
ive seen a couple of different varieties of these rings.
and this having a different font of writing and different planes on it than the one ive seen before

any help would be great!

Like all the other similar rings eg the german u boat ring with the same inscription, from what I've read and looked at, they are all post war fantasy pieces. I mean, they can't even spell 'England' properly...

"Engeland" was a common word in Germany at that time (Mix of "Engel" (Angel) and land), but not "Engelland" with double "L". There is a popular song "Bomben auf Engeland", which was often singing by the Luftwaffe. I think too, a fantasy item.

Isn't the spelling for the Englandlied 'den wir fahren gegen Engeland, Engeland ahoi'?

Engeland because it's pronounced Eng e land rather than England in the song. Engelland is surely the wrong spelling and so as already said, a fantasy piece.

There are a lot of period items with this spelling and a lot of rings too.

This one here could be a good one too, but it should be die struck, should have a seam at the band and backside plate at least rest of an arised inscription.
The pattern is for sure period.

I have a propaganda leaflet with " Wir Fahren Gegen Engelland ! " as the title from 1941

I agree. 'Engelland' is (or was) a not uncommon German spelling for England (or Angle Land, in English; Land of the Angles, an ancient Germanic tribe that populated what became known as England). Or Angleterre in French.

The basis for the words on these rings, as you probably know, is the 1940 Luftwaffe song, 'Bomben auf Engelland' (and Polenland).

Please note that 'Engelland' can be spelt with one or two 'L's'.
