The second Gymnasterka, does it have buttons on the cuffs? Some of the simplified models made after 1941 had no buttons on the cuffs and were simply sewn shut.

Hi.
Here's my two.
1942 dated example and a infantry piped gym that belonged to an Estonian officer.

K.
Two fine examples Kaspar
Very nice indeed
Congrats for these found

Thanks Dom and Bruno!
Very Nice!
I've noticed the images below widely used as a reference on Russian sites and thought it worth adding here.
The documents are technical controls dated 1938 for soldiers' summer gymnasterkas.
You don't need to know Russian to make sense of it. The columns beneath latin numerals refer to sizes. There is an allowable margin of error on the right.
Caveat - as discussed elsewhere on this thread, wartime conditions meant adherence to this guidance was not always strict.
I hope it's of interest. It belongs in this thread.
Lovely Gymnasterka Bruno. Now you need a grey furazhka or pilotka to go with it.
I think examples like this only survived because they weren't taken to the front and reserved for in-barracks use.
Hello Boycie,
Thanks for this very interesting document. I never saw it before. Additonal the the construction detail, it show that the model was adopted Under order 1446 of 1935.
Thanks for your comment. I also have the pilotka. Took me some time as the person who sold me the gym forgot where he put it. But one year after... I got it.
I displayed it with my tank display.

All the best
