This was the norm after the regulation change well into 1943 and even later. At times the collar tabs were not even removed.

It seems to me that started out as an M43 but ended up being modified to resemble an M35 - most likely as a film / "theatre" costume.

    Now that's being generous

    Hello,

The collar seems to be homogeneous with the gym.

Couldn't it be a working Gym as used by technical troups?

The materials it is made off is also more specific to cloth that require to be more resistant.

The external Pockets been just an add on for threatre or movie as suggested by Richy. The fact they are even sewed on top of the internal pocket would tend to this.

    What do you think?
