Early Gymnesyerka

I acquired this in Germany in the 1980's. I've seen this style shirt worn by other Eastern European countries so perhaps it is not Russian.

Any ideas? The shirt is earth brown wool, wide cuffs, composite buttons. The shoulder strap insignia are silver metal and sewn in place.

Are the buttons and/or epaulette insignia marked in any way?

No markings that I can find. I used to get a fair amount of material out of Czechoslovakia in the 80's - Czech Legion, Imperial Swords, etc. I don't recall if this came from that source or another.

The material looks to me close to the British and probably that one was made inb the time of 1920's for a Czech volunteers?

Interesting theory and quite possible. Perhaps there is a Czech Legion site I can find to investigate further.
