I'm very happy to show you the latest addition to my collection (probably last thing for this year):
a gymnasterka for a Младший сержант (junior sergeant) in an artillery unit. A woman's tunic!
It's a really small tunic, with a lot of wear to it (holes, replaced buttons, traces of sewn-in collar).
The shoulder strap is reinforced with a small sheet of metal. On the right breast there's a hole (and discoloration) where there once was an award. (I think an excellent soldier badge).
A real worn piece and that's why I like it a lot.
I was lucky to find a photo of a woman in a artillery unit, with the same type of shoulder boards but different type gymnasterka.
Now I need to find a skirt for it
