    Hello all, I have aquired two new Russian shoulder boards and would like help identifying them. Thanks in Advance!!

    Hi Trevor, these are post war, 1970's era, Soviet Army Officers shoulder boards for use on the Greatcoat. Rank is Lt.

    Oh, no... I paid 12.00 USD for these. I guess that dealer can feel happy with ripping-off 13 yr. olds then.

    No, the rank is Podpolkovnik, or Lt. Col. (Note: the double red stripes, for a senior Officer, not the single red stripe for a junior Officer)

    You are of course correct For some unknown reason I missed off the "Col" bit.
