    Default M43 Gymnasterka for review

    Hi everyone,

I'd like to show you the first M43 Gymnasterka in my collection ( I started collecting Soviet militaria about one year ago).
It's in lightly worn condition and made from US lend-lease material if I'm correct.
I feel happy with the uniform, but would like some opinions, as these uniforms are a kind of minefield...
    Thanks in advance!

Better daylight picture of the material.
What worries me a bit is that the uniform has a really 'smooth' feel. This can be a sign of synthetics in the cloth?

No worries, it is a very nice M.43 ! The US lend-lease materia is fairly gentle in their manufacture.
I love the little button press to keep the blouse closed.
    Regards.

Not the most popular ( for me ) but it is a good Gymnasterka

Philippe and Dom, thanks for your replies!

I'm happy to hear that it's a good one!

Dom, can you explain why it's maybe less popular?

Just that generally collectors are looking for productions typically (with fabric) Soviet.

But do not worry, even this one is not easy to find nowadays.

I found out that one of the buttons on the cuffs (which looks factory applied) is marked with 'валъдес прага 101'.
This would mean produced after May 1945 I think?

Nothing serious, the buttons are lost and replaced ...
