This one pocket Gym remains a mystery. Again, in my opinion a factory new made version from even prewar years. They are uncommon, but show up in portrait photos, POW photos. , etc.

Always the same pocket missing. Never visible evidence of its removal such as a fading shadow. Here is the link once again where Philippe shows two good studio portraits. Clearly not 2nd life gyms with pockets ripped off... At least not to my eyes.
