Great pics Philippe
Too bad that the French pilots never got to use the full potential of French planes over their home country.
The Dewoitine D. 520 for example wasnt too shabby.
Thanks Dom..
Hi Philippe,
Yes I'm looking about a russian M33 belt, and for décoration an order for patriotic war. The lay-figure (manequin) have a to big neck for the RAF shirt and tie...
For the belt, I' m not sure it was the M33 model, on the pictures, the belt have only one barb :
On the first picture made during the summer 1944, you can see the Challe's Brothers. In the Right the Capitaine René Challes. With a non-typical Battledress (ARP or tinted BD M40 ?). His Brother Maurice worn a RAF BD, but a belt with only one barb. The two worn the RAF side cap.
In the second Picture the Lieutenant de La Poype have too an only one barb's belt.
On the picture presented by philippe Risso Have a ushanka with the flying free french's wings and an Irvin jacket. I know an picure of Capitaine Pouyade with a french coat of arms.
And this week I have found autograph of Pouyade, Risso and EichenBaum.

Hi,
you can easily find M32 officer's belt and the Order of the Great Patriotic War, we must be careful that the order number matches the defined period.
But I still think it takes a small Soviet touch.

Hi,
Photo taken from an article by Gerard Gorokhoff, magazine 'Gazette uniform' and devoted to Normandie-Niemen Group.
This photo is dated March 1943. The TULASNE commander center.
According to the author, the first contingent of pilots coming in Ivanovo is immediately equipped with Soviet uniforms (M35 gymnasterkas, flight equipment, caps, ....) then the French pilots will mix the French and Soviet uniforms.
Still according to the author, the title 'France' disappears in late 1944 and finally held 1945.
Regards.
Really nice pictures Philippe !
And congratulations for the mannequin Boudionovka
