Hello dears members and fallowers.
I have fallowed yours boards and I have beginning to upgrade my "'aspirant".
I have added an lead and lease US garnison belt, an order of the great patriotic war, a free french wings and a Normandie badge.
This week, I try to post a "study" on the uniform of the Normandie squadron

Interesting pic. Thanks for sharing.
three types of battle dress was used in this squadron.
1°) the must common is the RAF battledress (Aircrew and War Service Dress). We observe it throughout the war.
The "lieutenant" Verdier on the left and the "aspirant" Yves Carbon on the right with a RAF BD.
2°) the second type rarely observe is battle dress issue from commenwealth countries.
The "sous-lieutenant" Bernachon was wearing an Australian battle dress.
This other type of "commenwealth's" battle dress was wearing by Marcel Perrin and René Challe the both arriving in the squadron on march 1944.
Note on the photo of Marcel Perrin an eagle for cap is used on the chest. This type of inversion (cap versus brest) and vice versa, is often observed in the squadron.
3°) The third type is the local made battle dress.
worn by Jacques André in 1945.
And to finish an unknow model worn by Noel Castelain during the spring or summer 1943
We can observe this type of battle dress other picture of the begining of 1943, it's seen to be made in Syria during second part of 1942
