    Default Odd M43 Gymnasterka

Here is an oddity that I thought I would show.

The majority of the fabric is typical Soviet or British Lend-Lease thin wool. However, the front closure, cuffs, collar, and pocket flaps are made of cotton - of (what seems to me) the same type that was used to made gyms and breeches in post-war Germany.

Has anybody ever crossed paths with another like this?

I have seen generals visors done in Germany after the war. Very high quality and even though they look like Soviet caps you can tell they are of German manufacturer. I have friends who collect German headgear and the construction between the two was the same. Thanks Clete
