Politruks Sleeve Star

I just won this Politruk's sleeve star, on an auction for 80e. It was brought, from the Karelian Isthmus, by a Finnish soldier. Do you think the price is too high? I've never seen one for sale, that has been worn.

I think you did well. I had two offered to me but can't remember the price any more. They were not cheap i remember.

As you say worn ones are rare, I have two mint ones but would happily pay 80e for yours, A good pickup in my opinion

I read that the Political officers sleeve stars were abolished, in August 1941. Is this correct?

I cant say exactly when they were no longer to be issued/worn but the date you've given is about right.
