Hi Guys, picked this one up at work.
Brought back to Britain in 1942 as a souvenir of a British serviceman. He put it in this old jewellery box where it has remained for all these years.
Cheers, Ade.

Hi Ade,my reference book shows these as being worn on the shoulder boards 0f all airforce ranks....Pete.
JEDEM DAS SEINE
Hi Pete, correct, but the shoulder boards came into service in Jan. 1943. Prior to that, worn on the collar tabs.
Cheers, Ade.

Very interesting item. Makes collecting worthwhile!
A question though: Why are there the periods between each word? Are those kind of word separators?
Well spotted.
The "full stops" as we call them here in England (Periods to our US Cousins) I would guess are just for "decoration". It would be incorrect English to have them after each word.
This one came with the Japanese collar tabs I showed the other day.
Cheers, Ade.
