    Hello,

I need your opinion on the Airborne BD( Royal Engineer) 1942 dated. Firstly, BD is genuine for me. In my humble opinion. Also I have no doubt Parachute Wing is postwar. Why applied? Don't know. Also, don't know about Pegasus patch, Airborne tab and R.E. tab. Original? If patches are original(apart of post -war, in my opinion jump wing), are period applied? Please find attached photos. Thank you.
    All opinion on insignia welcomed!

    Regards

Badges don't look age "seated" to cloth .... badges have different fading/wear ... spacing of badges looks awkward ...

    Hello,

Thank you kindly Kradman and Gary for your comments! I really appreciated the information you gave me. I had hoped that maybe Pegasus and tabs patches are period applied. Another good lesson. Do you think the insignia are WW2? Thank you

    Regards
    A.S.

Re enactor or 40's weekend put together, bd and RE are period original items, all the rest looks modern IMFO.

    Jerry

The Pegasus patches and airborne strips are perfectly genuine WW2 badges, however I don't believe they are originally mounted as printed/embroidered badges were rarely mixed and as Gary says they "sit" on top of the cloth. Oh and the wings are of modern manufacture.
