Article about: picked this tunic up today at a market. from what I was told, that this man was a cook in Darwin in ww2. I found the hair brush in the pocket. and what I think is 70 year old dandruff . The

    picked this tunic up today at a market.
    from what I was told, that this man was a cook in Darwin in ww2.
    I found the hair brush in the pocket. and what I think is 70 year old dandruff .
    The guy that sold it to me said he will give me his diary and some other paper work that he has, later on.
    The guy that wore this tunic had no family of his own from what I was told.
    so I think it would be good to keep it all together. cheers mark.

    hi rene yea I thought it was a good pick up good price to.
    I've got all the buttons and badges for the tunic I got of you too. just need to get someone sew them on now. cheers mark

    hi jerry I am trying to find that out now. but without much luck. there is so many. I found his record in the national archives but didn't state his unit. the original record has not been put up yet, I think.

    I did try to buy a copy of the Glyde book, but hard to find and expensive if you can find it.
