Army Airways Communications System

I recently acquired an Ike jacket and pants for a Technical Sergeant in the Army Airways Communications System. Unfortunately it is currently unnamed but there is a laundry number that I'm going to try to research. It came complete with ribbons and DUIs for the AACS. It's bit of an uncommonl group to see so I thought I would share.

Also AACS was an unauthorized patch and not a SSI. However this GI had pride in his organization that he wore it on his home coming.

Although patches were manufactured and worn to ID personnel , request for official wear were disapproved by the War Dept, these worn with local approval.
