Re: ATS Ack-Ack Officers uniform group
Hiya, Officers uniforms tend to survive more than Other Ranks uniforms as they were privatly purchased and so remained private property and so they were taken home when the officer left the Army.
I agree with you re prices!
I will try and find some pics of Officers on duty for you.
Cheers, Lez.

Re: ATS Ack-Ack Officers uniform group
Hiya, yes, Other Ranks were allowed to keep the uniform too. I think that the class system aspect does come into play here, Officers tended to come from better off backgrounds and could afford to hang up the uniform in the wardrobe and not use it again for other things.
Cheers, Lez.

Really nice group of ATS kit Lez. You must be the most comprehensive collector around ! Moleskin cap looks really attractive , not just to moths !

Re: ATS Ack-Ack Officers uniform group
Excellent group of uniforms. I have 2 questions. What does ATS stand for and also what do the red chevrons on the lower sleeve stand for?
Thanks and hope you heal up quickly!!!
