The BD Blouse has a date code for 1940.Its the 'Battledress serge' to give it its proper name..or '37 pattern if you like. The shorts and boxers might be Indian made? Not sure on the trousers...are they sort of browny serge or more of a green?

Thank you. though I am well aware of the battle dress, its just that the buttons on all the Garments remind me of those on other Australian Battle Dress.

The buttons are correct for the early British issue as are the WD markings. The other markings look to be Indian in the first case, not so sure on the others.

The trousers are also the early pattern with buttons on the ankles which are dropped from later issues. All the early British items used the metal buttons and had lightweight labels which are often missing, particularly in the case of the trousers as the label is on the exterior.
