I have just been given the ww1 aircore tunic I posted earlier that was my wife's great grandfathers! I recently picked up a few things to display with it including a wwI aircore campaign hat, scarf, overseas cap, and an ammo belt.
I will be expanding my focus from mainly WWII to include WWI as well.

Very Cool piece especially with the family provenace!

I've never really drawn a distinction between the war periods as far as my own collecting. Cool and interesting militaria has always appealed to me no matter the period, especially items with traceable provenance.

    Nice tunic.
Normally enlisted pilots wings were worn on the left shoulder.
Enlisted pilots uniforms are rare even the ones that did not serve overseas.

Thanks guys I have heard that the enlisted pilots tunics were pretty rare, let alone a pilots tunic from WWI! I am pleased with it and I had to get the campaign hat when I found it, am I correct that it would be a WWI hat with a air core cord? So it would be ok to display with the tunic?

Lovely set, but I do hate having to stand upside down
The service cap should have branch of service not the US collar dog
