    Been making up a display to represent my dad's uniform from the attached 1944 pic, have done the BD and cap, was wondering if anyone could give me any ideas as to the shirt and tie, Colour(appears quite light on pic) , style, materials etc.

    In 1944 the British army introduced the normal type khaki shirt with collar attached, prior to that the normal shirt had a removable collar. the earlier type can be quite expensive to buy if in good condition with clear date. Both can be found, try a search on ebay or good british dealers such as Steve's site of brittons at war and others
