    Hi Guys, this was an integral part of the Battledress uniform worn by the British Tommy in WW2 in Europe.

    As you can see, it is made of thick heavy white string.

    Worn next to the skin.

    These often get advertised as "Airborne issue", which they were, but not exclusively.

    Sometimes dated with a small tag. Mine did have one, 1945, but I have mislaid it!
