    Hi,
I'm in the process of moving house and have come across a 'Pixie' suit like the one you have in the photos here. I bought it over 25 years ago on impulse and tried it on once. I found it to be quite heavy and so never tried it on again.
I don't have any background on the suit unfortunately and whilst searching the net have come across very little info (until I found this forum) on the suits in general.
So, I suppose what I'd like to know is this. Is there much interest in these suits anymore? I would like to sell it on to make space in my house but have no idea where to try to advertise it. Ebay has nothing really similar on it and would seem to be a less than specialised environment for an item like this. I don't even know what it might be worth. It's in good condition, all the zips work etc
I'd be happy if it could go to a collector or someone who would appreciate it better than me.
Any info that you might be able to give me would be much appreciated. email address is exdread@hotmail.com
    Cheers
    Chris

    Hi,

I only have these 3 pics with me at the moment. I'm working away from home right now so can't take any more for a couple of weeks.
    Cheers
    Chris

Hi Chris, welcome to the forum!

Does the suit have it makers label in it? Sometimes these can be post war 1950's dated. Wartime ones, complete with the internal suspenders will be worth more.

I am out of touch with current values, but you should be looking at around 75 I think? Others will know better than I.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hi,

I don't recall what the label says and i don't think it has the suspenders. I'll check this when i get home again at the end of Feb and take more pics.
    Cheers

Hi Chris, the label will be in one of the sleeve cuffs, if not a good way to tell if it is wartime is to look at the studs or poppers that do up the pockets. If the back of them are chrome colour then it's post war, if they are brass then pretty sure it will be WW2. Post war ones do sometimes fetch quite a bit one ebay, up to 100, mostly because WW2 ones can fetch up to 200.

I noticed a few of these for sale recently and they were all at 185 on dealers site.

Thanks for all the info chaps. It is much appreciated and has reminded me of another item lurking at the back of my wardrobe:
Around the same time as I bought the tank suit I also bought a leather flying jacket. At the time I understood it to be WW2 probably from an Allied bomber crewman - not sure which country or airforce though. I don't recall there being any labels in it but I remember that the collar and cuffs have been repaired / altered with brown plastic. Also the zip is broken. Is it possible to identify better where it may have come from and can I get the zip replaced so that it is in keeping with the original? I don't have any pics with me right now but will post some when I'm home again.
Once again, any thoughts / info is much appreciated
    Cheers
    Chris
