british wool khaki shirt ??? Any info on this shirt would be great :D

Article about: Hi people I got this wool shirt off a guy who told me it was british army . the tag is very faded and I can only just make out Faulat, Belfast . Size 1 . 1958 . /|\\ . Can't see it on the pic

    Hi people I got this wool shirt off a guy who told me it was british army . the tag is very faded and I can only just make out Faulat, Belfast . Size 1 . 1958 . /|\ . Can't see it on the picture though . I took heaps of pictures and just can't seem to get a good picture.It was a very cheap item .Click image for larger version.

    Yep it's fine. Size 1 is very small though. Likely to have been worn & hated by an 18 year old National Serviceman.

    Yep looks good to me...I used to have one when I was a young lad,Used to wear it Army "camping"..what joy... Cheers Terry.

    Used into the 1990's and this looks like the last pattern. The later manufactured shirts had more of a green shade.

    Although they felt itchy when you first put them on at least they kept you warm and they never wore out.
    The GS Shirts which cane in latter were rubbish.

    Agreed, earlier shirts (from about '49-'51) were browner, had white labels, and box pleats on the pockets.
