buttons of British crew members of 1942?
Hi,
we have found these buttons on a German military training ground on which a British bomber crashed in 1942. What kind of buttons are these? They have no images or numbers on them.
Thanks for your help.

I would have expected marked RAF brass or Bakelite buttons from an aircrew.
Oz.

I would have thought the same also the RAF had Brass or bakelite buttons , the ones you found could maybe have been lost from a framer or walker pre or post war ?

They don't appear to be RAF uniform buttons of a type I recognise, so either as Kradman suggested or from another type of item, such as boots perhaps. It is also possible that one of the crew might have been wearing an unofficial clothing item such as a cardigan and they are from that?
Regards,
Jerry
Whatever
its just an opinion.

Thanks for your help. It seems to be difficult to identify.
