Thanks Nick, also do you know what the 4 lines on the both the bottom patches mean?

As you look at the jacket, the ones on the left are Overseas service bars. Each one represents 6 months service. The angled set on the other sleeve are long service stripes. Each one for 3 years service.

One bit of trivia for you: the GI's nick-named the Overseas service bars "Hershey Bar's" after the chocolate.
