    It looks like a private purchase cap a lot of Airborne guys among others used them.

    Yes - looks like 60's/Vietnam era to me, but I don't know
    when this particular shade of green came about. All of
    the US overseas caps I have are actually a brown
    colour. I'll try and remember to post
    them here.........

    Definitely it is not a WWII cap. Standard Garrison Caps were of different shape. This "Piss cutter" is made in a form adopted at the end of 40's. (after 1947). However, non regular custom-made caps of the referenced fashionable shape were used during WWII especially by paratroopers, but here we have standard manufacturing example as indicated by the label.

    It's a tough call with the colours not being
    correct due to lighting conditions, but as
    said, your OD one looks post-war.........

    Hi,

    From what I heard, Chocolate Brown NCO garrison hat were mostly British Made. (I've seen few examples)

    From the photos they look like wartime examples.
