    The photo is most likely just pre WW2 in date.

    1st and 2nd Battl's both served overseas, India and Singapore, pre war.

    Any print details to the card?

    Going by his Christian name I expect he was a native Scotsman.

    Interwars, 20's or 30's. A nice image always good to see clear images of the badges, though I cant quite tell if the ST's are Gordon or Gordons with the S added in 1922.

    Thanks to all for the responses. The back of the image is a blank postcard. This was in a stack of photos from my great uncle who was in the 6th Bn Gordon Highlanders during the early 1920s. There are several other photos I can post, perhaps in a separate thread, if you guys think there is interest.
