I'm reasonably certain neither of these items are WWII era, but have to be 100% sure before packing them away. They were in a lot with some misc uniforms, some WWII era for sure.

Any help identifying these two pieces is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

What you have is a pea coat/jacket with machinist mate 3rd class patch, and a jumper
with armourer or weapons specialist (?) 2nd class patch. Both are "Petty Officer" ratings,
    similar to army NCO ranks.

Pretty sure they are modern era, judging the from the labels and construction of
the patches, especially since the medal group has a US "National Defense" medal,
which was not available until 1953/4. (It is the most commonly issued US medal
available, requiring only 90 days active service.)

My guess is they are from the 60's or 70's - possibly even later.

    Regards,

    Steve.
