IKE jacket 3rd inf division.. Need your opinions:)

Got this IKE jacket.. Gut feeling says it's a nice genuine piece what are your thoughts?

Hi mate

Only problem with this Ike is 3rd ID SSI is from 1957 , note Army Green border used with the then current AG Uniform c1957 onwards.

So the jacket is ww2.. The patch is from 1957?

Yes correct. It also could possibly be a put together with the MUC and 3.5 years overseas service.

The SSI is also on the right shoulder meaning then assigned to 3ID.

They wore the Ike up until c1955ish but the date on the Ike would of been early to mid 50's.

By the way all pieces on the jacket are genuine WWII post WWII era c 1945-57.

Ike , MUC and service stripes WWII era , the 3ID patch is c 1957.
