Thanks BobS, it's almost there but not quite as my example only has double rows of lace. So either the pattern was simplified after 1901 (I think I can see the date 1913 on the label but it's not clear), it's a simplified undress item of clothing or its for another regiment. Sadly I've only got the 1931 Indian dress regs and they are not as detailed- only covering mess dress. This painting of Harry Lumsden who founded the Guides is interesting as he has the simpler lacing of my jacket.
