Default Is this belt anything special?

Hi, I have had this belt for some time and want to know if its worth a few bucks or if its something more. I know next to nothing about this era US gear, how how to tell either way. Looks very well made to me, buckle is Very heavy and solid but lead and gold are both heavy as it goes. Thanks!

Looks like a US Navy Officer's sword belt. I don't know the era either,
but it's strange there are no maker's names/logos or any
    markings at all.........
    Regards,

    Steve.

Leather looks pretty soft and pliable-almost newish in appearance. As said, probably WWII era, give or take a few years.

It is called an M-1852, they were issued from WWII up to the 1970's. Might be one of the post war ones, as William said, leather does appear new.

I Paid $10 for it, so I did well? This is the kind of stuff I find every week doing estate liquidations around Western Massachusetts. Now that I know where to look I'll try to find out some more info! Thanks everyone much appreciated. If anyone wants it feel free to PM with offer or trade? I know my way around ww2 german and ww2 US army air force (great uncle flew as crew B-17's over Europe), but thats about it.
    Thanks Again,
    Anthony
