I had forgotten Ade. I must have been thinking about my 6 years in the navy, I just never wore my class A's in the army, so that is where I got that amount.thanks.

No, it's three years. With 12 years you would have four. I know my way around a uniform.

it's cool, see I did 6 in the navy & 6 in the army, I never wore my class A's, so I just didn't know, now I'm not sure about they navy anymore, whether it was 2 or 4 years per hash mark now, plus I have gulf war syndrome from 91 my memory is shot, sorry about that.you weren't mean, I just am losing my memory more all the time

Thanks for not taking offense. The Navy and Marines do four years for their hash marks if I'm correct. Army does three years for service hash marks and six months for combat service hash marks.

it's cool, it's just I have been out a long time & couldn't remember. you would have to say a whole lot worse things than that to offend me, I'm easy going, no problem. . I'm here to learn, not argue with anyone, no problem at all Dusty.

The guys are correct and the Class A's could be current issue as far as I can tell. Class A's is the correct nomenclature for the "dress green" uniform. Unit patch on the right sleeve designates a unit you served with in a combat zone. Not sure if both the units on the sleeve are currently in the sandbox, but it could be a uniform from an Iraq war vet? Definitely a Chemical Corps insignia as was stated. I wore one of those for a couple of years as well as I was a company chemical NCO in a National Guard Armor unit after my active service time. From a fellow Army intelligence spook.
