Default Mistery 1937 pattern BD blouse

Recent purchase. Its a 1937 pattern (no tag) battle dress blouse sporting the medal ribbons of a WWI veteran: Military Cross, 1914-1915 Star, English War Medal 1914-1918, (Interallied) Victory Medal, Africa Star). On the shoulder straps is quite evident the "ghost", the outline of some kind of badge, or flash having been sewn. I can not really make out what it could be: it seems lit it were shield shaped, with something as a circle (maybe a wheel?) in the center, possibly imposed on a cross? Any hints? Thank you in advance for your knowledge, gentlemen!

Not sure on this, but 52nd Lowland div is the closest I can think of.

Thank you Jerry: I'd rather think not, since the divisional insignia should have been worn on the arm and not the shoulder strap. And the outline f the badge seems to suggest a one piece construction, though.....

Div patches were sometimes worn on the shoulder straps, but as you mention not usually so you are probably correct. I can't think what else it would be,some units such as RTR regiments wore coloured tapes in that position, but otherwise I would expect it to be rank insignia, but nothing springs to mind in that regard, except possibly warrant officer rank patches but they should be on the forearm.
