My Great Uncles World War 2 Uniform

I recently obtained my great uncles uniform. Im not really sure what he did all i know that he was in the red ball express but the patch is not on the uniform. All i know from the uniform that the patch is from the first army and he was a 3rd degree technical sargent. He had a good conduct ribbon and 2 european/african victory ribbons one had a star on it. He also had 6 overseas stripes on his uniform and had 5 on the one in his pocket. Also i had a question there are 2 collar buttons one has the flaming ball with fire on it and the other i took a picture of. Also there was his garrison cap and i think the summer shirt that was inside i will take pictures of that later on.

Jeeze you are very lucky to have this set with provenance

Flaming bomb disk is Ordnance Department. The other disk is Quartermaster Corps
The shirt looks to be the Flannel shirt used in the ETO. The jacket is an "Ike" jacket initially designed to be used with the M43 uniform set

Thanks so much he won a sliver star and 2 bronze stars but we have no clue where they went he had them before he died but some family member took it when he died and the man who we got the uniform said the reason he took it because it was worth money so i have a feeling who ever has it i think is going to sell it. . And do you know what the star on the european campaign ribbon means.

The star means that he served in a major campaign in the ETO eg.. D day. These can have multiple stars for multiple campaigns

Does the shirt look similar to this one? If so you can use it for a combat display with all of your gear
