Hi All,
I thought I would share with you this recently acquired uniform grouping belonging to Lt. Joseph Lynn Aylsworth Jr. The summer jacket is of course my favorite part of the grouping, especially the bullion insignia and 1/2" ribbons on an Army uniform!
Lt. Aylsworth was in the Army Air Corps, however was assigned to the 15th AAF. He was attached to the 459th BG, 759th SQ. The 459th was stationed in Italy and flew missions throughout the ETO.
I've sent away to NPRC for his records and am hoping they can provide more info on his service history (Fingers crossed that they weren't destroyed in the fire in the fire of 73).
In any case, I hope you enjoy!
