Nice Marine Corps and Capture Items In This Past Auction

Hi everyone,

Wow, does anyone remember this auction? I've posted items that were part of an extensive grouping that went up for auction on EBAY a few years ago. They belonged to George Snyder who served in the marines in WWII. Mr. Snyder was a tank commander in the battle of Iwo Jima and in other battles. I was able to purchase one of his jackets (tuck in the group photo), but couldn't quite afford any of the other things. It was quite a collection that he apparently held onto for many decades until his passing.

I would submit an FOIA request to the National Archives. It'll take several months to get a reply, but they'll provide a list of his awards and you can put together a rack to restore/display the uniform
