Pilots? Survival trousers?

These have got me pretty stumped, labelled as USMC M-89 survival trousers and i would have thought as part of a pilots escape/survival kit, i've scoured the net and found nothing about them apart from a few pairs for sale on fleabay. Real deal or some far eastern fake collectable?...



Oh and a green label on US clothing is a new one on me!..
