Default post war sniper smock for identification please

please see the attached photos. The smock or jacket has padded elbows which leads me to believe it is for sniper use. The label is washed out sadly, but it has internal draw strings, an outside rear pocket with zip marked FERNS. The lower side pockets have elasticated tops. I assume it to be post war British as it came with post war camouflaged smocks.

any thoughts on what it might be?

    many thanks, Dave

If you can positively identify it as Rhodesian, it would be a rare and expense smock.

if only that label hadn't been washed out! I'll see if I can get a positive id on the net, at least you have given me a clue what to look for

A few standard rhodi smocks on ebay recently, not that expensive or perhaps not that rare.
