    Default RAF Flying Boots

Hi there, I wonder if anyone can help with valuing a pair of RAF flying boots that belonged to my grandfather in WWII. They are in generally good condition, having been resoled with leather soles approx 25yrs ago. The fur lining is all intact as are the buckles & straps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Shame they have been re soled I paid $AU80 for a RAAF pair 10 years ago in good condition maybe you can base on that?

1936 Pattern RAF Flying boots. Nice condition but resoled as pointed out. Size 8 so not as desirable as larger sizes. I'm a bit out of touch on RAF prices but would make £250-350 I would suggest.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

I think Skypilot's estimate would be about right. Had it not been for the resoling, they would have been worth more.

    Cheers, Ade.

Really Ade, do they fetch that much? Wow I would never have known! Doubt my RAAF pair are worth that much.

Hi René, 1936 pattern boots don't come up for sale that often and do make good money.

RAAF stuff might fetch a little less, but are going to fetch a lot more that the price you sold yours for 10 years ago.

    Cheers, Ade.

No I still have them, that's what I paid.
