    I was wondering what the thoughts are on this bullion patch. It's advertised as a SHAEF patch but it looks more blue than black, which I believe would indicate a post-war USAEUR patch. This would make sense as the Ike has a washed out QM tag that appears dated April 1945.

    I'm not too concerned about period but more originality. I've not seen a similar bullion patch.

    It is a good period made bullion patch.

    Yes, I agree - you have a decent jacket by the looks

    Thank you to both Steve's!

    The seller advertised it as a WW2 SHAEF Ike but I bought it thinking it was a good occupation period piece to add to the collection. I appreciate the confirmation!

    Very nice, I have seen so many variants in these patches post war they could have made them any way they wanted to. I have even seen some that are purple and odd colors made by german tailors
