Trousers to ID

Hi all. I am having trouble finding out what these trousers are. They only have two pockets at the side, so I guess not 37 Patt, and have a button up fly. They are W/|\D marked on the band and have the label that can be seen in the photo. Any helpl is much appreciated. Cheers.

'Z' is the date code for 1945.They remind me of 40 pattern but without the map and field dressing pockets..Do they have a single rear pocket?.Officers?
