    Great find Hal. They must have been stored someplace tight, the moths love this material. Super shape. My dad was part of a Coast Guard occupation force in Japan, 1947 to 1948.

    Coast Guard stuff is harder to find because they were not a large service group.
    Real nice acqusition. Landing craft stuff is really interesting. A lot of those boys got shot up on the beach.

    R.R. Smeal was Russell Ray Smeal (July 12, 1925 to July 31, 2011). He was an Electrician's Mate Second Class on the LST-832 during the war.

    I would guess that his AMBITION was shared by all during WW2.
