Hi, if its a real one, then it didnt had much use, because the letters in the labels are in very good condition, dont seem faded at all, thats my opinion.
    Best regards

Yes, it is original. I had sold one identical to yours 2 years ago. These are nice jackets that saw alot of action in the European theatre especially during the winter months.

If it's original, and it looks to be, no wonder it is in such good, unissued condition......
    - it's only a size 34 R - Extra small ! !

    Regards, Steve.

Sorry no pictures of the buttoms. I don't have it with me yet.
When it arrive, i will post the pictures for the front and the pocket buttoms.

    Yes,
It is small... but thats for display, not to use, so...

Measurements are as follows taken flat:
    Armpit to Armpit(Chest):21 inches
Top to bottom(collar to hem):28 inches
Sleeve length(shoulder seam to cuff):24 inches
    Shoulder seam to seam:19 inches

So, the conclusion is that its a original WWII period item?
I was a little concerned because the tag was intact, without any wear.

It's a latter one and all good, but I prefer the 43's with the '41 material liners

correction- It's not that late mfg. and a full bread one manufacturers used the old materials till the end of the war

What's the difference between the M43 on the pictures and the one you prefer, Rene??

I've seen on some reference books that this kind of jacket was used by airborne troops later in WWII. In some pictures a see a thicker an roughter type of fabric. Is this model you talking about?

    Thanks for all your coments.

The jacket is original. The pockets look like they have the white lined cotton interior which is correct where the contract label is attached. Like the other member said, the 34R small size saved this from being issued. Nice jacket and a keeper. They can still be found in that condition here in the US from time to time.
