Hi, im looking for info on how to determine the utility shirts period.
WW2 and Korea, are they of different formats, number of pockets, stitches, etc......?
It seems curved pocket bottoms are of post war production but is there anything else?

I think we need a sticky on this subject......

    Hello,
These may be of some assistance. WW2 Type HBT.

The first one is a P41 USMC HBT jacket. All the buttons are the Marine Corps marked donut japanned copper type. 3 patch pockets the top most is stamped with the USMC and EGA.

Sorry about all the stuff over the jacket, its a pain to remove it all.

The second is an Army HBT Jacket with early war gas flap, for comparison. A darker HBT material, with 2 large breast pockets. All the buttons are the army 13 star blackened metal type.
