Hello Jason,
Pretty sure it wasn't. The 'rating' thing is hideous.........!
Regards,
Steve.
I have a small child size jumper and it has a rating badge like this. Once again not navy, civilian use. I would say ww2 or later on the age. In ww1 and 1920's the rates they use were close to the ones the navy used, but the colors of the chevrons were different. I also have two that used regulation navy rates, but you know they were for civilian use because of the middy tag and the fact a cpo never wore a jumper. I should start another thread on this subject and show the different ones I have. A lot of people think these are navy but are for civilian use.

Jason,
I just noticed you are also from PA.
What area?
I'm from Ft. Washington (Montgomery County) just outside of Phila.
Wow. You are close.
Nice to meet you and thank you again for your help.
Yes nice to meet you too.
Do you go to the renningers in Adamstown Pa.? Get some nice stuff there. I pick up a ww1 chief womens navy jacket there this summer.
Jason
Never been. I will have to try going there.
