    A recent purchase, unluckily not in the best of conditions but still an interesting piece. A War Aid US Made BD blouse produced in 1943 (january) badged to a R.A.M.C. Lance corporal serving with the 5th Division. Judging from the medal ribbons, L/C Langmaid (?) should have previously served in one of the Britsh Army formations that fought in North Africa with the 1st Army, of which 5th Division was never part. Long Service chevrons state a service for the duration of the war, 1940-1945. The arm of service strip seems to be theater made.

    thank you: I wish I could know something more about its original owner, since as I stated, the 5th British Division was never part of the 1st Army, therefore he possibly could have previously served in either the 46th, 56th, 78th Division or the 6th Armoured Division...
