Another M1 front seam project on the way

Hi

Got this M1 Shell a few days ago on Ebay, for 30 euros or so.
For this, im also waiting for a 100% complete original liner.
In about 3 weeks, im hoping to have this one done and on the road to another.....

I do mean another due to a possible purchase in a few hours time

Nice and salty, what are you going to do with it, personally id leave it as is and just pop the liner in, any heat stamp .

Nothing to do.....
Its just going to receive the liner and that is it......
The seller was clearly not a expert on these, anounced as "Old military helmet".
Had no knowlege on heat stamps nor where to look for them.

So, all i can do is wait and see, when it arrives.

Right, here we go.
Got a nice liner with period leather chinstrap and korea re-issue sweatband.
Funny, found a identical liner to one i have in my other M1What are the odds ???
This Shell is unmarked....(at least not visible)original finish is salty and displays very well.
One of the chinstraps is halfway broken and requiring some care.

Another M1 is already on its way....
