Any insignia experts??

Article about: Just started to strip of the paint on a late ww2/Korean M1 helmet liner and I've uncovered some insignia, does anyone here recognise them or can shed some light???

    After some searching, that insignia is similar with the 147th Infantry Regiment. I don't know the other insignia though.

    Hi Feldgrau,
    Yes I came across the same badge after some searching and I reckon its a match. But ditto on the other one, it seemed to be hand painted so who knows!

    I see, maybe the owner paint like 2 or more roundels. White-red roundel derived from the ohio state flag? The unit origin place.

    Maybe he's not painted single roundel since it would be similar with the 37th infantry division?

    I don't think so. It's different unit but from the same place.

    Definetly battalion regimental insignia as Steve says real common with infantry liners. timothy
