Debate on ww2 Dennison helmet nets?

Article about: Hi this ww2 "Dennison net"original is currently on US ebay and just wanted the thoughts in general from you guys in regards to whether these were actual contract made nets as they

    Thanks Nick.thats where I read about them being faked postwar however the price for the these would have been so low that i dont think any profit would have made so maybe they are the real deal just have to be patient and hope better info comes along........Jake.

    I've got to say I can't believe they made custom helmet nets, if they did we'd know more about it and we would not be having this debate. Maybe there was a tag on the larger nets that were cut that shows up on some originals?

    One sold today with the little white "Dennison" tag still attached for 42 smackers,just for the label?certainly isn't worth that,usually around 10-15 without the label,prices sure are on the rise..............

    it really was a nice gesture and really compliments the helmetwell spotted on the m44 goggles ,i wonder how long these saw service post war untill the introduction of the sun ,wind ,dust googles

    Now thats a really good question,there seems to be a massive jump from this type to the 1974 dated ones,however I have seen a few sets dated 1956,but not many at all.these wartime goggles with original box and spare lenses are fetching 60 plus,crazy times ahead.
